Dr. Nitin Kumar Chauhan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at the Indore Institute of Science and Technology (NAAC A+ Grade), Indore, where he has been serving since September 2022. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in July 2025, in recognition of his contributions to teaching, research, and academic leadership. He has over eight years of combined teaching and research experience across reputed technical institutions in India. 

Dr. Chauhan earned his Ph.D. from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, with research focused on optimizing cervical cancer diagnosis using machine learning and deep learning techniques. Prior to joining IIST, he served as an Assistant Professor at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (2016–2018) and as Guest Faculty at premier institutions including Pusa Institute of Technology (DESU), Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering (DSEU, Okhla-II Campus), and Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technology and Research (NSUT East Campus) between 2018 and 2022. 

His research interests include AI-driven medical imaging, machine learning, deep learning, embedded systems, and smart technologies. He has published extensively in SCI/SCIE journals and IEEE/Scopus-indexed conferences and holds an Indian patent for an AI-based solar power antenna. Dr. Chauhan actively contributes as a reviewer for high-impact international journals and collaborates with researchers globally. 

A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Chauhan has guided student teams in national-level competitions such as the Smart India Hackathon and e-Yantra Robotics, and has conducted workshops and faculty development programs on AI, machine learning, Python, and computational intelligence. His technical expertise includes CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, GANs, Python, MATLAB, and advanced electronics simulation tools, enabling him to bridge theory with practical applications. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places, cooking, and engaging with emerging technologies and social initiatives.
